Finding Cryptocurrencies

finding cryptocurrencies

Cryptocurrencies can literally be found on crypto price analysis websites such as coinmarketcap, coingecko, coinpaprika, etc
On these websites you can find vital information about the cryptocurrency such as its circulating supply, total supply, market cap, rank, volume, smart contract address, social media channels, charts, etc.
Cryptocurrency price analysis websites serve as a directory for all cryptocurrencies, but there are certain criteria that needs to be met for a particular coin/token to be listed such as:

  • It must be a cryptocurrency
  • It must be traded publicly, and actively traded on at least two (2) exchanges that are supported on the service and with an API available.
  • It must have a public URL that displays the total supply (total coins mined so far).
  • If the cryptocurrency is an exchange-based token only traded on its own exchange, we may add it given that off-platform withdrawals are possible.

Note that these criteria vary from one website to the other and meeting them does not guarantee a listing.
Also available on these websites are recently added coins/tokens, biggest gainers & losers for the last 24 hours, historical snapshots, currency converter calculator, crypto glossary, API service, events calendar, and offers a watchlist for users to personalize, etc.
To find a cryptocurrency you simply navigate through the pages and by simply clicking on a particular crypto, a new page opens showing all vital information you need to know about such coin/token.
