Regulatory compliant cryptocurrency exchange, Bakkt partners with Google to facilitate crypto payments for it’s users.
Bakkt debit card holders will be able to add their virtual cards into Google Pay to make payments where ever Google Pay is accepted. Users will have to convert their Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to fiat currency in order to facilitate these payments.
Furthermore, the cryptocurrency exchange has selected Google Cloud as it’s cloud provider and will build new analytics coupled with artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and geolocation functionality using Google Cloud tools.
“This partnership is a testament to Bakkt’s strong position in the digital asset marketplace, to empower consumers to enjoy their digital assets in a real-time, secure, reliable manner,” said Gavin Michael, Bakkt CEO.
He added: “Additionally, partnering with Google Cloud will enable us to continue to build a best-in-class, innovative platform that can undoubtedly scale to meet the needs of millions of users.”
Bakkt is a regulatory compliant cryptocurrency exchange launched in 2018 by International Exchange. In March, the platform released it’s payments app which allows users to make crypto purchases designed to “amplify consumer spending, reduce payment costs, and bolster merchant loyalty programs.”.
